Fussy eating is not fixed in a day, nor is it fixed in a week ... it’s a looooong on-going process. One of my biggest challenges was a certain green vegetable; for my son, broccoli was his arch nemesis and inevitably it has become mine! I don’t know about you, but there’s something about broccoli, the parents of broccoli eaters to us parents of non-eaters of broccoli can come across as a tad smug!
So when my son began weaning till now I have tried every which way to get him to eat broccoli... it’s been unsuccessful! BUT I have kept trying, sauté, roast, boiled, raw, not everyday but I have continually tried!
So when we started creating super powders, I knew broccoli was the one ingredient that it had to contain! The super power I felt when he unknowingly consumed it in his milk!
But the battle for him to actually eat a floret was still on ... however I persevered with the exposure, and finally he ate it and now will eat it regularly! The lesson is - exposure works, it is tedious and long winded but it works! So keep trying, you never know today might be the day that they actually eat it and in the meantime there’s Super Powders!
